Visiting I-Share Libraries

Columbia is part of I-Share, a group of academic and research libraries in Illinois that share a catalog and allow their patrons to request items online from one another's collections.

Columbia students, faculty, and staff may choose to visit other I-Share Libraries in-person to check out materials with their Columbia ID instead of requesting them through the I-Share catalog.

Alternatively, if Columbia students, faculty, and staff happen to be located closer to another I-Share Library, they can have Columbia library books (or other I-Share books), sent to an I-Share Library located closer to their location.

See a map of all I-Share Libraries to locate I-Share libraries throughout Illinois.
