Course Reserves for Students

Course textbooks, including required reading titles, that cost at least $40.00 are automatically purchased and placed on reserve in the Library. Electronic versions, when available from the publisher, will be prioritized over print versions. Other texts and supporting materials may also be placed on reserve by faculty request.

Find for your textbook in the library catalog by searching for your the title of the book, course name (e.g. Writing and Rhetoric II), course number (e.g. ENGL 112), or your professor's last name. 

Search For Your Textbook

  • Electronic textbooks can be accessed from anywhere with a valid Columbia ID Number. Some ebook providers may limit users at any one time, so if you are unable to access a particular title, try again later.
  • Physical textbooks and other print reserves are only to be used in the library during open hours.
  • You must present your Columbia ID to use print reserves.
  • To request a print reserve item, bring the call number and title to the 1st Floor Desk.
