Center for Black Music Research (CBMR) holds items highlighting the role of black music in world culture with materials originating or representing black music in the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa in a variety of formats: personal papers, scores, sheet music, audio-visual materials, photographs,  books, periodicals, and commercial recordings.

The CBMR collection guides are available online. Some collection guides are not yet present, so please contact us with any questions.

The Library catalog holds item level information about CBMR book, CD, and DVD collections.
